Dear fellow cowboys & cowgirls,

Before there were barb wire fences on the large Texas ranches there were “Line Camps”. The ranch cowboys were stationed at these camps to “ride the line”. This meant to turn back the cattle straying from the ranch property, brand and doctor the cattle, watch for rustlers, tail-up cattle during storms, and pull those caught in bog-holes. These camps where built along the outer boundary lines of each cattleman’s home range. This is where the cowboys longed to be. Riding the great open range and tending to the herd. After a long day the cowboys would come back to the camps to enjoy some beans and biscuits, kickback by the camp fire with fellow cowboys, see who could tell the biggest stories and drink a little whiskey. It was a place to eat, relax and be uninterrupted from the hustle of “the town”.

That same atmosphere and laid back feel away from “the town” is what you will find at our Line Camp. It’s a place to come, kickback, have some good food, drinks and escape to a simpler time. Stay as long as you like, bring some friends, enjoy the views and sit under the back porch. This is the way of the West, this is Line Camp. Well, I’ve been out ridin’ all day, my horse is tired, most all of the cows are rounded up and I’m hungry, its time for some good eatin’.
